Vice President, 2025-2026
Karen Phoenix has technically been involved in fiber arts for the last 45 years, although since she doesn’t remember all of them, it’s really more like 20 years. She began as a spinner when she was a teenager, using her mom’s Wee Peggy. She took a break for a while and then picked up knitting during graduate school, where she found it a great stress reliever. More recently she’s started weaving and is enjoying all 3 crafts.
