Beginning Weaving Class Big Success!

Guild Member Terry Byers held a beginning weaving class that spanned two Saturdays in October. Her class included seven people who were all new to shaft weaving. Participants were enthusiastic to learn and wanted improve their new skill quickly.

The class learned the basics of warping their loom, and worked on a plain weave sampler using different wefts. Their homework assignment was to finish the plain weave sampler and begin a twill sampler.

Fun was had by all and we now have several new members who are excited to call themselves weavers!
